*Closed YESL Pre-Employment Training Program Ages 14 -21 (virtual, with $299 Stipend)
January 17 to March 2, 2023; Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30 to 6:30
- Receive 28 hours of pre-employment training to enhance job experience
- Gain skills, such as resume writing and interviewing
- Receive support and mentoring from the YESL staff
- Earn a $299 stipend
- This program will be Virtual
- Opportunity to apply for spring and summer internships upon completion

Seattle Goodwill is actively recruiting for our WIOA funded program- Youth At Work. We are seeking youth and young adults that are interested in re-engaging in secondary school to earn a high school diploma or GED who are facing difficult barriers. The following are a few important things to note regarding enrollment/participation:
* must be between the ages of 16 and 24
* must have the right to work in the state of WA
* males 18+ must register for selective service
* cannot be actively enrolled/engaged in a traditional high school (alternative school is okay)
* cannot already have a GED or high school diploma
Perks of participating includes but are not limited to:
* wrap around support services and case management that includes but is not limited to:
* transportation assistance
* clothing vouchers
* housing and utilities assistance
* 12-month hotspot service at no cost
* job search assistance
* free meals during participation
* much, much more
* paid work experience of up to 200 hours at Seattle’s minimum wage ($16.69 currently)
* earn $450 stipend for completion of Career Readiness Course
* Financial education and support
* Legal support and advocacy
* Assistance with enrolling in college and financial support
* Earn up to an additional $200 in incentives for earning diploma/GED, attaining employment and enrolling in post-secondary school

SWSYA Internship
**UPDATE: Now closed.
The youth intern(s) will be responsible for assisting the Southwest Seattle Youth Alliance by updating and adding content to all our social media posts and webpage with information on a weekly basis, leading and/or co-lead youth groups programs with an adult leader, and attending monthly coalition meetings. The position is part-time, meetings are typically the last Thursday of the month from 3:30pm-5pm. Youth groups will not interfere with school times or go past 9pm.
