Seattle Goodwill is actively recruiting for our WIOA funded program- Youth At Work. We are seeking youth and young adults that are interested in re-engaging in secondary school to earn a high school diploma or GED who are facing difficult barriers. The following are a few important things to note regarding enrollment/participation:
* must be between the ages of 16 and 24
* must have the right to work in the state of WA
* males 18+ must register for selective service
* cannot be actively enrolled/engaged in a traditional high school (alternative school is okay)
* cannot already have a GED or high school diploma
Perks of participating includes but are not limited to:
* wrap around support services and case management that includes but is not limited to:
* transportation assistance
* clothing vouchers
* housing and utilities assistance
* 12-month hotspot service at no cost
* job search assistance
* free meals during participation
* much, much more
* paid work experience of up to 200 hours at Seattle’s minimum wage ($16.69 currently)
* earn $450 stipend for completion of Career Readiness Course
* Financial education and support
* Legal support and advocacy
* Assistance with enrolling in college and financial support
* Earn up to an additional $200 in incentives for earning diploma/GED, attaining employment and enrolling in post-secondary school
